My sister came to visit the other day, which was great! Now all the Goatland sisters have seen the place.
Plumbing continues to be a problem, however. Steve's bathtub occasionally fills with foul-smelling water, which looks yellow but might actually be what they call "black" - i.e., contaminated with sewage. The landlords are trying to be responsive, but they don't seem to think this warrants a visit from an actual plumber. Renter's insurance, anyone? Or should we call in a health inspector?
I hope they fix this problem more carefully than they "fixed" the refrigerator, which they hooked up incorrectly so that water seeped through the hardwood floor into the garage.
